2. Subscription Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through:

  • Your account will be downgraded to the FREE tier
  • Access to premium features will be restricted
  • Your data and repositories will be retained for 30 days
  • You can reactivate your subscription at any time

3. Refund Policy

3.1 General Refund Terms

All subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However, we offer refunds in specific circumstances outlined below.

3.2 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

For first-time subscribers only:

  • Full refund available within 7 days of your first subscription payment
  • Applies to STARTER, PROFESSIONAL, and BUSINESS tier subscriptions
  • Valid only for your first purchase (not renewals)
  • No questions asked - simply request via email
  • Refund processed within 5-7 business days

3.3 Eligible Refund Scenarios

Refunds may be granted in the following situations:

  • Service Unavailability: If the service is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours
  • Billing Errors: Duplicate charges or incorrect amounts
  • Technical Issues: Persistent technical problems preventing service use
  • Unauthorized Charges: Charges made without your authorization

3.4 Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be provided for:

  • Change of mind after the 7-day guarantee period
  • Partial subscription periods (pro-rata refunds)
  • Annual subscriptions after 7 days
  • Subscription renewals (automatic or manual)
  • Downtime caused by your own actions or third-party services
  • Failure to cancel before the renewal date
  • Account termination due to Terms of Service violations

4. Refund Process

4.1 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Email us at billing@mahakalp.dev
  2. Include your account email and transaction details
  3. Explain the reason for the refund request
  4. Provide any relevant supporting documentation

4.2 Refund Timeline

  • We will review your request within 2-3 business days
  • You will receive a decision via email
  • Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
  • Refunds are credited to the original payment method
  • Bank processing may take an additional 3-5 business days

4.3 Refund Method

All refunds are issued via the original payment method (credit card, debit card, UPI, etc.) through Razorpay. We cannot issue refunds to alternative payment methods or accounts.

5. Subscription Changes and Upgrades

5.1 Upgrading Your Plan

  • Upgrades take effect immediately
  • You will be charged a pro-rated amount for the remaining period
  • The new plan's full price applies from the next billing cycle

5.2 Downgrading Your Plan

  • Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period
  • You continue with current plan features until the end of the period
  • No refunds for the difference between plans
  • Data exceeding new plan limits may be restricted

6. Annual Subscriptions

6.1 Annual Plan Terms

  • Annual subscriptions are paid in full upfront
  • 7-day money-back guarantee applies to annual plans
  • After 7 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable
  • Cancellation of annual plans stops auto-renewal only

6.2 Mid-Term Cancellation

If you cancel an annual subscription mid-term:

  • Access continues until the end of the annual period
  • No pro-rated refunds for unused months
  • Subscription will not renew automatically

7. Failed Payments and Grace Period

7.1 Payment Failures

If a subscription payment fails:

  • We will attempt to charge your payment method up to 3 times
  • You will receive email notifications for each failed attempt
  • A 7-day grace period is provided to update payment information

7.2 After Grace Period

If payment is not received within the grace period:

  • Your subscription will be automatically cancelled
  • Access will be downgraded to FREE tier
  • Premium features will be disabled
  • No refund will be owed for the unpaid period

8. Service Credits

8.1 When Credits Are Issued

In lieu of refunds, we may issue service credits for:

  • Extended service outages
  • Significant feature unavailability
  • Goodwill gestures for inconveniences

8.2 Credit Terms

  • Credits are applied to your account balance
  • Can be used toward future subscription payments
  • Non-transferable and non-refundable
  • Expire 12 months after issuance

9. Chargebacks and Disputes

9.1 Contact Us First

Before initiating a chargeback with your bank, please contact us at billing@mahakalp.dev. Most billing issues can be resolved quickly and amicably.

9.2 Chargeback Consequences

Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in:

  • Immediate account suspension
  • Termination of service access
  • Collection of chargeback fees
  • Legal action for fraudulent chargebacks

10. Special Circumstances

10.1 Extraordinary Situations

We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. We will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis for situations such as:

  • Severe personal hardship
  • Extended hospitalization
  • Natural disasters affecting your ability to use the service

11. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
